Smart Towns has been assisting municipalities and not for profit organizations in Alberta and the Northwest Territories since 2012. It has been a real privilege to help organizations achieve their goals through project management and grant writing and get the right messaging out to build confidence in their respective communities.
Patrick Bergen, PMP
Patrick is one of the founders of Smart Towns. He as served in numerous roles as a Councilor for the then Town of Chestermere as well as in administration for Villages and Towns in Alberta and the Northwest Territories. His experience includes infrastructure and technology projects in the public and private sector as well as grant writing and communications. Certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Green Belt, Incident Command System 100 and 200 as well as a number technology ones.

John McCall
As founding member of SmartTowns, John uses his forty years of information technology and business experience to manage database design and development. First studying IT at Control Data Institute, John has used his knowledge in various applications and industries. This includes both the heavy equipment and airline industry, as well as municipal applications under his own company Dreger McCall and Associates.
